Last year, the Oregon Ducks enjoyed a very solid season. While only dropping three on the season, the Ducks managed to win ten games. The Ducks put up a lot of points with their high-powered offense, in the process of winning all of these games.

In 2009, the Ducks relied heavily upon the running game. As they rushed for more than 230 yards per game, their reliance on the running game really paid off. Throughout the course of the season, James, their running back, was simply impressive. James was a force to be reckoned with throughout the season and he rushed for more than 1500 yards.

Over the course of the season, the Ducks managed to score more than 36 points per game. their defense is one thing that they would like to improve upon this season. While it isn’t exactly what a contending team would like, their defense wasn’t awful. Per game, they surrendered nearly 24 points. This team could be a dominant team in the league by cutting that down just a bit.

In 2009, the New Mexico Lobos endured an awful season. The team was simply not consistent in any fashion and they only managed to win one game. The Lobos will have a tough draw to start the season in 2010, although they would like to improve thing this year.

The Air Force Falcons are looking to take things to the next level in 2010. The team was a solid team out of the Mountain West last season. Unfortunately they were overshadowed by teams like BYU, Utah and TCU. The Falcons still managed to win 8 of their 13 games last year. The big question is whether or not they will be able to step things up against the top teams.

Last year they had just 5 losses, but three of those losses came against top 25 teams. If they hope to have more success this season they will need to turn things up against the top teams in the league.

The Northwestern State Demons are looking to take any step forward this season. Last year was a year to be forgotten for the squad. They are out of the Southland conference and did not manage to beat a single team within the weak conference. On top of that the squad did not beat anyone out of the conference. This left the squad with a record of 0-11 on the season.

The Demons will certainly be underdogs entering into this matchup. Barring a miracle it appears that the Falcons will take an upper hand and take home the victory on opening day. This could be a game to get their offense in sync to start things off and football betting fans can enjoy the matchups.

Pujols twisted his ankle in Thursday’s series-opening loss and he had hit his 400th homer, connected for his 35th of the season and fourth in as many games at Nationals Park. With five home runs and eight RBIs in his last nine games versus Washington, the All-Star slugger is 17 for 33. With three homers against scheduled starter Livan Hernandez (8-9, 3.36), Pujols is a lifetime .343 hitter. Hernandez looks to bounce back from one of his worst outings of the season.

None can forget about Helio Castroneves. Over losing the Edmonton Grand Prix, Helio is just about over his anger and this would be a great bounce back spot for him to get back into Roger Penske’s good graces. Between Penske and Chip Ganassi if Scott Dixon is thrown in for good measure, the race boils down to a car owner battle. Hold on, once you strap into the lazy boy. This will be an unforgettable race.

The Chiefs will be able to rely on the efforts of Jamaal Charles for the whole season in 2009. Last season the team gave Larry Johnson too many opportunities at the beginning of the season and paid for it as he never produced the way he was expected to. Charles stepped in and had an excellent season. Expect Charles, who is a favorite with NFL football betting, to be one of the top backs in the league in 2010.

The Chiefs will need help on defense in 2010. The team surrendered the most points on any team in the AFC last year and cannot duplicate that if they hope to contend. With such a porous defense they allowed every team they played to stay in the game.

In some of two recent World Cup tournaments, Brazil has faced Netherlands. In the 1994 quarterfinals en route to their fourth World Cup, they eliminated Netherlands 3-2 and beat them on penalty kicks in the 1998 semifinals before losing to host France in the final.

On Friday, fans will likely be treated to a special match. Robinho, Brazilian star has deemed it worthy of a World Cup Final. “It’s a world football classic,” Robinho said.
