In Memphis – St. Jude Classic Tees it Up June 10

To defend his title against an all-star crowd of young up-and-comers, St. Jude Classic defending champion and sportsbook betting star, Brian Gay returns to Memphis. Hoping to keep a solid year on track with a win, Gay, who finished second just two weeks ago at the Byron Nelson, comes to the St. Jude.

However, at the St. Jude, Gay will face a solid field that highlights some of golf’s brightest young stars including the white-hot Bryce Molder, recent first-time winner Rory Mcllroy, and the 16-year-old amateur Jordan Spieth who finished in the top 20 at the Byron Nelson. Spieth rounds out a group of three sponsor exemptions including three-time major runner-up Lee Westwood and fan-favorite John Daly.

Against a less experienced field in Memphis, watch out for Westwood. Younger players like Mcllroy, Spieth, and Molder will be surely tested by TPC Southwind’s signature holes. The course should provide plenty of fireworks at the 165-yard par-3 11th, an nerve-racking tee shot akin to the famous island green at Sawgrass. Likewise, for even the most experienced tour veteran, the 231-yard 14th, which consistently ranks among the tour’s most difficult par-3s, will be a test.

At TPC Southwind in Memphis for the 2010 St. Jude Classic, get set for an exciting weekend. The PGA Tour’s future stars will surely revel in their shot at the spotlight, with big names Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson taking a break after this week’s Memorial.
